Arianne Allegrezza's passion for physical therapy grew out of a lifelong love of sport and movement. Growing up in Bowie, MD, she competed in swimming, softball, volleyball, and basketball — developing a deep appreciation for the capabilities of the human body along the way. Swimming was her primary sport, competing from age 12 through her first year at the University of Maryland, and those years in the water gave her firsthand insight into the dedication, physical demands, and injury challenges that athletes face. Through sport, she also came to recognize the profound impact that physical activity and athletic community can have on both physical and mental well-being.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with High Honors from the University of Maryland, College Park in May 2023, and went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine in May 2026. During her undergraduate studies, she completed a Sports Medicine internship with the university's Division I women's field hockey team — an experience that allowed her to observe the evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries firsthand, and ultimately solidified her decision to pursue a career in physical therapy.
Her graduate clinical training further shaped her clinical approach. She completed rotations at the University of Maryland Orthopedics in Hunt Valley, where she was mentored by Orthopedic Clinical Specialists and Orthopedic/Manual Therapy Fellows, before completing her final rotation at True Sports Physical Therapy in Fells Point — where she joined the team as a staff physical therapist.
She has a strong interest in sports and orthopedic rehabilitation, with a particular focus on two areas close to her heart. As a competitive swimmer herself, she brings a unique understanding of the physical demands, injury patterns, and mindset of aquatic athletes, and is especially passionate about working with swimmers at all levels. She also has a special interest in treating female athletes, an area she began exploring academically during her undergraduate years and one that continues to inform her clinical perspective. Above all, she is committed to helping individuals return to the activities that matter most to them — whether that means competing at a high level, staying active in their communities, or simply moving through daily life with greater confidence and less pain.
