Carter Halley's path to physical therapy began on the football field. After tearing both ACLs during his high school career, he experienced the rehabilitation process firsthand — and it was through that journey that he discovered his passion for helping athletes recover from injury and return to competition.
Carter earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training (2022) and his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree (2026) from Messiah University. He has been a licensed athletic trainer since 2022, and his dual credentials give him a well-rounded perspective that spans the full continuum of athlete care — from the sideline to the clinic.
Carter's athletic training experience includes working with athletes across both college and high school settings. He followed Dickinson College's football team through their 2021–2022 season and continued working as an athletic trainer throughout PT school, providing care for athletes at Messiah University. His clinical training further strengthened his sports rehabilitation foundation, with multiple outpatient sports rotations — including a rotation at True Sports Physical Therapy.
Carter has extensive experience treating lower extremity injuries, with a particular focus on ACL reconstructions and ankle injuries — conditions he understands on both a clinical and personal level. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA).
