Dr. Rebecca Cohen

PT, DPT

Rebecca Cohen’s path to physical therapy was shaped by a lifelong connection to sport, movement, and service. Beginning at age 14, she spent years teaching skiing, where she developed an early eye for movement analysis — learning to assess how people move in order to help them improve. Her own involvement in gymnastics and tennis deepened that understanding, showing her how movement analysis translates to performance. Years of volunteering for adapted sports programs across the region gave Rebecca a front-row seat to the valuable role physical therapists play in helping people access or return to the sports they love. Occasional injuries of her own and a range of clinical experiences across the industry made a career in physical therapy feel like a natural progression.

Rebecca earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Neumann University, where she was inducted into the National Physical Therapy Honor Society.

Rebecca brings over ten years of experience across a variety of physical therapy settings, including inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient neurology, outpatient orthopedics, and outpatient pediatrics. Most recently, she completed a clinical rotation in a pediatric outpatient setting, where she treated many sports-related injuries and helped youth athletes return to the sports they love. These experiences reinforced her belief that one-on-one care — grounded in a genuine understanding of each patient’s goals and lifestyle — is the foundation for achieving lasting results.

Rebecca specializes in working with gymnasts, tennis and pickleball players, skiers, and athletes involved in disability and adapted sports. Her unique combination of over a decade of clinical experience, a background in movement analysis dating back to her teenage years, and a longstanding commitment to adaptive athletics allows her to serve a wide range of patients with both expertise and empathy. An active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Rebecca remains committed to staying current with the latest research and industry standards to deliver the best possible care.
