Ethan O'Loughlin

PT, DPT

Ethan O'Loughlin's passion for physical therapy was shaped by a lifetime on the baseball diamond. A competitive player from a young age through college, Ethan experienced firsthand how physical therapy can help athletes perform at the highest level they're capable of. His path to sports rehabilitation took on an even more personal dimension when he became a patient at True Sports Physical Therapy during his time as a college athlete — an experience that solidified his desire to pursue a career in sports rehab and ultimately led him back to True Sports as a clinician.

Ethan earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Lebanon Valley College in 2024 and completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree there in 2026.

During his clinical training, Ethan completed a sports orthopedic internship with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2026, gaining firsthand exposure to sports medicine at the professional level. That experience gave him invaluable insight into upper extremity care for elite overhead athletes, particularly involving the shoulder and elbow. He also completed an orthopedic rotation with a strong focus on the cervical spine and shoulder, further deepening his expertise and passion for upper extremity rehabilitation.

Ethan specializes in working with baseball and overhead athletes, bringing a perspective informed by his own playing career and his time in professional baseball's medical setting. He has experience in post-operative rehabilitation for rotator cuff repairs, labral repairs, shoulder dislocations, and UCL reconstructions, as well as return-to-sport progressions for lower extremity injuries including ACL and meniscus tears and patellar dislocations. His background on both sides of the field — as an athlete and a clinician — allows him to understand the demands of sport and deliver care that is both performance-driven and deeply personal.
