Prior to becoming a Physical Therapist, Joshua worked extensively as a personal trainer during his undergraduate education, where he developed a strong passion for educating and supporting clients as they worked toward their goals. While strength training and fitness were foundational to his early career, Joshua was motivated to pursue physical therapy to gain a deeper, more precise understanding of pain, injury, and rehabilitation, allowing him to support individuals at every stage of their recovery process.
Joshua earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and went on to receive his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York University.
Throughout his clinical education, Joshua completed rotations across a wide range of settings, including acute care/inpatient, outpatient neurological rehabilitation, private cash-based practice, and sports rehabilitation. These experiences provided him with a comprehensive understanding of patient care across the continuum—from medically complex conditions to high-level athletic performance and return-to-sport rehabilitation.
Joshua’s clinical interests include working with football and basketball players, golfers, and other rotational athletes. He also enjoys treating conditions involving low back pain, as well as shoulder, knee, and ankle injuries. Joshua places a strong emphasis on return-to-sport, return-to-running, and performance-based rehabilitation, ensuring patient-centered care that aligns with each individual’s goals and physical demands.
