Madison Jones' passion for physical therapy stems from a lifelong immersion in sports and fitness — and a desire to understand the precise mechanics that keep the human body performing at its best. As a four-year Division II lacrosse player and three-year team captain at Shippensburg University, she experienced firsthand the physical demands of competitive athletics. That background, combined with her personal love for daily training, lifting, and running, drove her toward a career where she could channel that passion into helping others move without limitation, train safely, and build long-term durability.
Madison earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Shippensburg University in 2021 and went on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at the University of Maryland, Baltimore in May 2026. During her time at UMB, she served as Director of Communications for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT) Student Special Interest Group, helping organize monthly meetings focused on manual therapy techniques, guest speakers, and case study reviews.
Madison's clinical rotations gave her hands-on experience across both sports and orthopedic settings — from leading evaluations and designing sport-specific return-to-play programs for competitive high school athletes, to refining her manual therapy and musculoskeletal assessment skills in an outpatient orthopedic clinic. She has a particular interest in working with field athletes, runners, and weightlifters, and her approach places a strong emphasis on progressive strength training and restoring optimal biomechanics to help patients build the resilience needed for both competitive sport and daily life. A member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT), Madison is committed to empowering patients of all backgrounds to move confidently and achieve their performance goals.
