
Shayna is from a small town in Connecticut. 3 sport athlete in high school – track, wrestling, field hockey, which fostered a passion for health and fitness. From there became a CrossFit athlete and coach for two years. Worked with Elon University's Sports Performance Department, working alongside their D1 Football, Lacrosse, Baseball, and Track and Field Teams. Trained for and ran a half marathon. Most recently competed and placed in a bodybuilding competition which is her current passion. Also had the opportunity to work with adaptive athletes at Arena Adaptive, which specializes in adapting typical CrossFit workouts for these athletes in Wilmington, DE.
Shayna is an APTA member and holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and a Masters in Clinical Health Science from the University of Delaware, as well as a Bachelors in Exercise Science from Elon University.
Shayna is a new graduate of the University of Delaware. She completed one of her full-time clinical rotations with True Sports in Newark, where she developed a strong appreciation for the company’s mission and values. Through this experience, she expanded her knowledge of working with athletes throughout the rehabilitation and recovery process, with a focus on safely and effectively preparing them for return to sport. Her professional interests include bodybuilding, CrossFit, field hockey, wrestling, and working with adaptive athletes.
