Dr. Alexys Lynch

Alexys Lynch's career in physical therapy and athletic training is deeply influenced by her experiences as a multi-sport athlete, with a particular emphasis on lacrosse and competitive cheerleading. Her athletic background fueled her interest in sports medicine, leading her to pursue a career that bridges her passion for sports with her desire to help athletes recover and excel.

Alexys began her professional journey at Towson University, where she became a Certified Athletic Trainer in 2016. This certification allowed her to work with a variety of high school and college athletes, providing her with hands-on experience in sports-related injuries and rehabilitation. Her education continued at the University of St. Augustine, where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2020. Furthering her expertise, she became a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist specializing in Dry Needling from Myopain Seminars in 2023.

With seven years of experience as an Athletic Trainer and three years practicing as a physical therapist at True Sports, Alexys has developed a robust skill set in treating sports injuries. She has had the opportunity to work with various sports teams and CrossFit gyms, including St. Frances Academy Football, PUSH 511, and Maryland Twisters. This diverse experience has enabled her to understand and address the unique rehabilitation needs of athletes from different sports disciplines.

Alexys's areas of specialization include general fitness, CrossFit, gymnastics, cheerleading, football, and basketball. Her background in competitive cheerleading and her professional experience have given her unique insights into the demands and challenges faced by athletes in these sports. Her goal to bridge the gap between injury and returning to competitive cheerleading showcases her commitment to helping athletes achieve their full potential.

In recognition of her excellence in manual physical therapy, Alexys received the prestigious Stanley V. Paris and Catherine E. Patla Award. This accolade is a testament to her dedication and skill in the field of physical therapy, particularly in manual techniques.
