Dr. Sara White

PT, DPT, CSCS, Cert DN

Sara White's journey into physical therapy was inspired by her own experiences with sports injuries. In 2015, Sara tore her PCL playing basketball and went a conservative route with extensive PT. The rehabilitation process she underwent for this injury not only provided her with firsthand insight into the impact and effectiveness of physical therapy but also sparked her interest in pursuing a career in this field. This personal connection to sports injuries has been a key driver in her professional path.

Sara completed her academic pursuits at Lebanon Valley College, where she earned both her Bachelor's in Exercise Science and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She completed the 3+3 accelerated Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in just 5 years. Her time playing college basketball significantly contributed to her growing interest in strength training and injury prevention programs. This background in competitive sports has given her a unique perspective on athlete-specific needs and challenges, most notably with injury prevention and rehabilitation.

During her studies, Sara completed her final clinical rotation with True Sports, providing her with valuable hands-on experience in a practical setting. Since then, she has worked with TSPT treating a variety of collegiate athletes while addressing various sports-related injuries and conditions. This experience has allowed her to apply her academic knowledge to real-world situations, enhancing her skills as a physical therapist.

Since joining True Sports in January of 2023, Sara has developed a particular interest in treating ACL reconstructions. This specialization is influenced by her personal history with similar injuries. In 2025, Sara underwent surgery for ACL and PLC reconstruction which continued to grow her passion for treating athletes after knee surgery. Through her own rehab, she can emphasize with her patients and understand the intricacies of their rehabilitation process on both the physical and mental side. While her time in college athletics is over, Sara understands what it takes to trust your knee again and return to competition as she continues to compete in HYROX and goals of competing in a CrossFit comp.

As an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Sara is committed to continuous learning and professional development. She regularly attends strength and conditioning conferences to stay updated with new information and studies, ensuring that she provides the best possible care to her patients based on current evidence-based practices.

Sara White's career in physical therapy, shaped by her own experiences with sports injuries and her academic and clinical training, highlights her dedication to helping athletes recover and improve their performance. Her focus on knee injuries and ligament reconstructions, coupled with her personal experience and ongoing commitment to professional development, makes her a knowledgeable and compassionate practitioner in the field of sports physical therapy.
